The annual  St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation Gala, held on October 18, 2008, was a crowd pleaser.  Once again the hospital lobby and cafeteria underwent a stunning transformation for the evening.  With beautiful fresh flower centerpieces on the tables, hanging japanese garden lanterns , lights on the trees and six beautiful crystal chandeliers suspended from the 35 foot high cafeteria ceiling it became Tavern on the Green, one of New York City's finest restaurants.

  Guests were greeted at the door with sparkling champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries for the cocktail hour.  After a fabulous dinner guests were treated to the energetic music of Big Fat Fun and danced the evening away.  There were two special highlights during this years Gala. 

Carriage rides were provided throughout the evening.  A drawing was held to give away this years Gala prize, a trip for two to New York City, including dinner at Tavern on the Green.  The winner of the trip was Margaret Oliver of Garden City.
