The Heart Center at St. Catherine Hospital Opens It's Doors

A NEW ERA FOR CARDIOVASCULAR CARE IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS

Since August, 1984 Cardiovascular Consultants of Kansas (CC of K) in Wichita has provided quality cardiology clinics and services to St. Catherine Hospital and the surrounding communities. Kansas Heart Hospital, a nationally recognized dedicated heart and vascular hospital, admitted its very first patient from St. Catherine Hospital on February 15^th, 1999 and has become a leader in cardiovascular care throughout the state of Kansas over the past decade. Beginning July 6^th, 2009, St. Catherine Hospital, CC of K, and the Kansas Heart Hospital will begin a new era of commitment to Garden City and southwest Kansas with the opening of the Heart Center at St. Catherine Hospital. As physician partners of CC of K, John Ferrell MD FACC will provide local consultative and interventional expertise as a full-time resident of Garden City and Michael Lloyd DO FACC will continue to provide consultative cardiology clinics at St. Catherine Hospital.

“I look forward to the challenge of developing a new cardiovascular program at St. Catherine Hospital recognizing the many years of service provided by my partners and the support of St. Catherine Hospital and the Kansas Heart Hospital,” said Dr. Ferrell.

Dr. Lloyd commented, “I have been taking care of patients from Garden City since 2004 when I joined CC of K. Local cardiology helps everyone….the community, the hospital and, most importantly, the patient.”
